A 5-star hotel on James Bond Island. Did you know that the British author, Ian Fleming, was in Jamaica when he created the super-famous secret agent, James Bond? And that the island was where North American actor, Errol Flynn, spent the happiest years of his life? You’ll find out why when you stay at the Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites, a 5-star, All Inclusive hotel where you can experience Jamaica’s natural paradise right on the beachfront. While you’re getting your scuba diving certification, the little ones will have a blast playing at the Aquafun, floating in the lazy river, or enjoying the awesome Star Camp activities. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • Why Jamaica?  Jamaica is a beautiful island with some of the friendliest people in the world.  As well, their food is delicious - if you haven't had jerk chicken, you are missing out!  While in Jamaica, you can stay on resort and enjoy the many activities they offer.  Or you can take one or more excursions off-site to see the country.  This resort is slightly east of the Montego Bay region of Jamaica, and you can learn more about Montego Bay by copying and pasting this URL into your browser: https://www.visitjamaica.com/resort-areas/montego-bay/.
  • Can I have three, four or five people in a room?  Yes, you can have as many as the resort says the room will hold.  Most will hold up to four; some of the family suites may hold more, but there are fewer and they tend to sell out early.
  • What is the cost for more than two people in a room?  Please contact Debby to get a quote for more than two people in a room.  It's typically less per person than just two in a room, but it's not like a regular hotel room where the price is the same no matter how many people, because they have to cover costs of food, drink & activities for the additional people.
  • What do flights cost?  Flights to Jamaica right now are running just under $600 per person.  However, flight prices change quite frequently, so nothing is guaranteed until you book your trip and pay the deposit.
  • Do I have to pay for the whole trip now?  No!  You'll be able to pay part now and the rest 60 days before you travel, so the first of April 2026.
  • How much is the deposit?  That depends - if you purchase the travel protection, the deposit is lower - usually about $200 per person plus the cost of the travel protection.  If you opt out of the travel protection, you'll pay a smaller deposit on the resort itself - usually $100 per person - but the entire price of the flight.
  • Is it safe to travel to Jamaica?  While nothing in life is guaranteed safe, being a smart traveler will help.  Don't do things you don't do at home - don't leave your drink, don't take a drink from a stranger, stay on the resort or on a tour with a group, etc.
  • What are the requirements to travel to Jamaica?  Any time you travel internationally, you will need a passport, even newborns.  The passport does not have to be valid longer than the last day you plan to be in Jamaica, and you don't need any kind of travel visa.
  • Can I book my trip if I don't have a passport?  Yes, we can book your trip before you get a passport.  However, and this is very important, the name on your passport must match the name on your airline ticket.  The name on your passport will typically be either (a) the full name on your official birth certificate, or (b) your birth certificate name unless you're married and have changed your last name.  We will discuss carefully what is needed to make sure we avoid any change fees for the flight!
  • Can I book if I don't know who I'm going to room with?  While this is possible, it's not recommended, as resorts will re-price your room to the current rates if you make any changes to the guests, whether adding or deleting.
  • Can I book closer to the travel date?  Possibly, but it will depend on availability of rooms.  Also, if the resort gets close to selling out, the prices can get higher (the law of supply & demand).
  • What is travel protection?  Travel protection is optional, but highly recommended.  For land, the insurance covers cancellation of the trip for any reason up until a few hours before your flight.  More importantly, it provides up to $50,000 accident and sickness insurance and $75,000 for emergency medical evacuation.  It also covers trip delay, baggage loss or delay and a few other more minor issues.  You will have a choice of travel credit coverage (good for 13 months) or cash refund; the refund premium will be higher.  We can talk about the two choices when you call to book your trip.
